Study: GM Crops Can Help Preserve Agrobiodiversity
The results were published in the European Review of Agricultural Economics.
Science Committee of the House of Commons presented a report, where the following point was particularly discussed:
Current EU rules about GM products regulations are based on the assumption that GM products are more dangerous that products of traditional selection. Thus, the attention is drawn to how a product was made rather than to the product itself.
The main conclusion is that the rules need to be changed.
